Baltimore Revolution Win World Series

The Revolution cruised to their second championship in franchise history with a 4-1 series victory over the NL Champion Chicago Gray Stockings. They seemed to be a team on a mission, going 11-3 over the course of the playoffs. Season 14 was a complete success story for Baltimore. They boasted the AL MVP in Frank Edwards, the AL Cy Young Winner in Damaso Solano and the AL Fireman of the Year in Eugene Scott. They also led the AL with 8 players named to the All Star squad. This championship has only solidified Baltimore's rise to the top of the American League for nearly a decade. They've won at least 100 games for seven of the last eight seasons, included 114 for the last three seasons. They are now tied for St. Louis for the most AL Pennants with 4. The Revolution are still poised to be a power in the league and are the favorite to win the WS again in Season 15.
