1 (3)- Baltimore Revolution (62-21)- The Revolution are having one of the best seasons of any team in SP history. They are on pace for 121 wins which would be the 3rd highest total in league history. Baltimore leads the AL in runs scored, batting average, OBP, SLG, OPS, SB and is 2nd in HR. Their 634 runs scored is 163 more runs than the 2nd highest scoring team, Anaheim. The pitching has been solid, led by Billy Ray Howington. Howington is having the best season of his career. He has a league best 12 wins, with 111 innings and a 2.90 ERA.
2 (5)- Pittsburgh Polar Bears (58-25)- The Polar Bears continue to be atop the National League year after year. This year's squad is one of the most balanced in the entire league. The Bears are ranked 2nd in the NL in runs scored, fewest runs allowed and team ERA. They also lead the NL in fewest '-' plays. Rafael Cueto is having another All Star caliber season. He is 4th in the NL in AVG, hitting .315 with 22 doubles, 17 home runs and 62 RBI.
3 (1)- Milwaukee Titans (53-30)- The Titans are comfortably in control of the NL North. They boast one of the top pitching staffs in the NL. They are ranked 3rd in the NL in fewest runs allowed, team WHIP and team ERA. Lonny Sanchez is having a very good season. He in 7-4 with a 3.05 ERA in 103 innings, despite batting some minor elbow soreness lately.
4 (8)- Norfolk Whiskey Jacks (52-31)- This year is clearly the culmination of many seasons of rebuilding by the Whiskey Jacks. And the culmination has been done with style, as the Whiskey Jacks have the 2nd best record in the AL, and firm control of the Wild Card. They are ranked 2nd in the AL in stolen bases, with 116. They have also been solid in the field, ranked 1st in the AL in fewest '-' plays. Patsy Wilkerson has been a great addition in Norfolk, providing very solid offensive output at the top of the order. He is hitting .294 with 22 home runs and 62 RBI.
5 (2)- Anaheim Hitmen (51-32)- The Hitmen are probably the best combination of pitching and hitting in the AL. They are 2nd in the AL in runs scored and and 1st in fewest runs allowed. They are also 3rd in the AL in throwing out stolen base attempts with a 31% CS success rate. Veteran 1B Brian Okajima is having a stellar season. He is leading the AL in hits and 2nd in AVG. He should be a lock to make his first All Star squad this season, hitting .365 with 30 home runs and 78 RBI.
6 (14)- Honolulu Rainbow Warriors (50-33)- The Rainbow Warriors are proving last season's run to the ALCS was no fluke. They have one of the better teams in the AL all season long and will be in the hunt for the playoffs until the final days of the season. The Rainbow Warriors have been making web gems all season, leading the AL in '+' plays. Samuel Walker is 5th in the AL in OBP at .429. He is hitting .306 with 37 RBI.
7 (10)- Philadelphia Stomp (50-33)- As expected the Stomp have one of the best pitching staffs, ranking 3rd in the AL in fewest runs allowed and leading the AL in team WHIP. Randy Meulens and Jared White have been one of the top starting pitcher combos this year. Meulens is leading the AL in strikeouts with 116 and WHIP at 1.09, with an 8-4 record. White is 11-4 with a 3.27 ERA.
8 (9)- St. Louis Redbirds (50-33)- The Redbirds have been a very balanced team this year. They have combined to have the 3rd highest scoring team in the AL with a pitching staff that allows the 2nd fewest runs. St. Louis' pitching staff also leads the AL in team ERA and strikeouts. Hector Brown and Johnny Radinsky are both having their usual All Star level production. Brown is hitting .315 with 18 home runs and 48 RBI to go with his 17 stolen bases. Radinsky is hitting .305 with 13 home runs and 57 RBI.
9 (6)- Vancouver Tragedy Twins (49-34)- The Tragedy Twins are on the verge of ending the Sharks NL West dynasty and making the playoffs for the first time since the team has moved to British Columbia. Their success this season has been a prolific offense and the over achievement of the young starters that the staff is built around. The twins lead the NL in home runs and are 3rd in the NL in runs scored. Dicky Barkley, maybe the most decorated MILB pitcher of all time, has proven his success down on the farm was no fluke. In his rookie campaign, he is 9-2 with a 3.57 ERA.
10 (7)- Cleveland Lake Shores (48-35)- The Lake Shores are quietly having yet another solid season, and leading the NL Wild Card. Like a fine wine, Sammy Dali only seems to get better with age. At 35 years young, Dali made his first All Star squad last season. This season, he is likely to earn another All Star nod and might be a dark horse for the NL Cy Young. He is 11-4 with a 3.18 ERA.
11 (13)- Chicago Gray Stockings (48-35)- The Gray Sox continue to have a pretty good season despite continued problems with injuries. Workhorse veteran reliever D'Angelo Cornejo, who was having another very solid season, a 2.62 ERA in 44 innings, will be out until very late in the season with elbow tendinitis. Butch Ramirez having one of the best seasons of his career. He is hitting .279 with 16 home runs and 47 RBI.
12 (4)- Richmond Rebellion (48-35)- Everything is on schedule for the Rebellion to win the NL South for the 3rd consecutive season. The Rebellion are the highest scoring team in the NL. Ernest Strickland has definitely been earning his salary. In addition to being one of the best fielding 3B (he has 11 '+' plays) he has been hitting for power. He leads the team in RBI with 65 and is 2nd in HR with 20.
13 (12)- Kansas City Krazies (45-38)- The Krazies continue to be one of the biggest surprises in the AL. They have been playing solid, fundamental baseball; committing the 2nd fewest errors in the AL. Brent Corbin has been locked in at the plate and one of the most dynamic offensive forces in the AL this season. Corbin is hitting .303 with 29 home runs and 72 RBI.
14 (18)- Los Angeles Sharks (44-39)- While the Sharks may not be in a playoff spot right now, this team is very dangerous. If they do manage to either overtake the Tragedy Twins or sneak into the Wild Card, the Sharks are just the kind of team that could get hot and make a deep postseason run. Their pitching staff is currently the best in the NL, and the roster is laden with veteran, professional hitters. The Sharks lead the NL in fewest runs allowed and team ERA. They also lead the NL in most '+' plays.
15 (15)- New Orleans Jazz (41-42)- The Jazz are still among the top of the weakest division in the league, the AL South. Micah Montague has been nearly unhittable at the back end of the bullpen for the Jazz. In his 24 appearances, he has racked up 19 saves with a WHIP of 0.82 and an ERA of 1.64.
