BALTIMORE- With their sweep of the NL Champion Gray Stockings, the Revolution completed the most dominant postseason run in SPL history. The went 11-0 during the playoffs. None of the series were close, and most of the games weren't close either. For the playoffs, Baltimore outscored their opponents 75-27. They averaged nearly 6.8 runs per game while only allowing 2.5 runs per game. Their team had a postseason ERA of 2.16. There was no doubt in Season 15. There was the Baltimore Revolution and everyone else. This is the Revolution's 3rd World Series Championship and their second in a row. Only the Pittsburgh franchise has more titles with 5. DH Deivi Borges also had a historic season. He won the AL MVP by a landslide. He also set a new franchise record for longest hitting streak with 27 and became the 4th player ever to capture the Triple Crown, hitting .350 with 62 home runs and 149 RBI. Borges will be entering his first year of arbitration eligibility this offseason, and good luck to the Revolution rep who will have to explain to the arbiter why Borges should be getting less money. At the ripe age of 25, the sky is the limit for the powerful lefty from the Dominican. This offseason, the Revolution will surely be targeting starting pitching. Their offense is pretty much set but 'Old Reliable' SP Damaso Solano will be 35 and one year closer to retirement. He was still solid last season, but is beginning to show signs of decline. Despite some questions in the starting pitching, the Revolution will definitely be the WS favorites going into Season 16. Three-peat anyone?
