Season 19 Preview

In a Spring Training poll of all of the GMs in SP, we had 18 respondants. The results were pretty intersting. First, the AL looks to be pretty competative. Eleven of the sixteen teams received votes to get into the playoffs, while seven different teams were picked at least once to win the pennant. The league generally felt the trading of Matos and Leonard hurt the Whiskey Jacks. Last season, they were heavy preseason favorties; while this season they are simply one of many contenders. The NL was a bit different. The picks to win each division were decisive, but ten different teams did revieve votes to make the playoffs. Five differeent teams were picked at least once to win the NL pennant. And only two teams were put on every ballot to make the postseason, the Vancouver Tragedy Twins and the Richmond Rebellion.
