we start season 31 here in Satch each owner and team has goals they’re striving
for – some of which are attainable while others might be a stretch.
New Division rival thinks he
can simply walk in to the AL East – the toughest division in all of Satchel
Paige – and take down the reigning WS champ?
Hofstad’s bold predictions:

Boston will win
the season series against Baltimore.

The $20 million
dollar arm, Jae Xaio, will win the Cy Young
Since
moving to Detroit 9 seasons ago the once dominant Immortals (reference seasons
1-5) have been in a rebuilding – could this be their breakout year?

The Immortals
will make the ML playoffs, have an MVP candidate and a RoY
Historically
very few teams have been consistently commanding as Milwaukee, and although it’s
currently under new ownership majnun plans to pick up right where they left
off. Bold predictions:

NL Cy Young (otherwise
known as the Pepe Sosa Award) will be won by Tommy Berg.

A player on the
ML roster will go down with a soul shattering injury
The Montreal Rockets got their first taste of the
playoffs which is no easy feat in such a strong division. Now, the mudslinging is coming fast and
furious from the great white north:

The Camels fail
to reach .424 winning percentage – a measly 69 wins.
·
Washington DC
Generals fail to sign more than 4 IFAs.

They signed 28
last season alone.
Baseball is brand new in Pawtucket and the bold
prediction for the Gallivanters is pretty simple:

won’t finish last in their division.
Longtime owner mgd64 has been turning his team around
since their season 28 fall. The Scranton
Wild owner’s bold prediction:

The Wild improves
by 8 wins (at least) and finishes with at least a .500 record.
While Baltimore didn’t set any single season win
records they did win their 7th WS ring and have no plans to slow
down. Bold prediction from the Rev:

The Rev sweep the
Camels for the season: 10-0, baby!
The AL North is wide open for the taking. Who can lead their team over the 162 game
grind and claim the division title? AL north bold predictions:

The closest
divisional race in all of Satch – the AL North will be decided in game 162 –
and all teams will finish within 7 games of each other.

· The Destroyer’s JuniorNunez shaves his weird goatee and finishes in the top 3 race for the MVP.
The AL East – self-proclaimed best division in all of
Satchel Paige is always a dogfight.
Currently the team to beat is the perennial powerhouse in Philly the
Stomp.

their ML franchise HR record of 307 dingers.

All teams finish

Both wild cards
are claimed by the AL East
The usually tightly contested AL South has let Monterrey
– now Montgomery – waltz into the playoffs the past 2 seasons. Can the new owners plan for the same in
season 31?

bench coach Alexei Torcato the Buushwackerz are back on top, winning their
division and a coveted first round bye.
o Alexei is ejected out of at least 6 games

· Montgomery still
makes the playoffs and Johnny Montana – no relation to Joe Cool – wins 20 games
and the AL Cy Young.

How the west was lost – an AL West saga. It’s been 7 seasons the division winner
finished with more than 89 wins. Bold
predictions:

Lead by new
owner, bloomquistb, the Mallards break 80 wins
·
The underrated
Branch Burnett reaches his first All-Star appearance at the age of 32 along
with finishing in the top 5 MVP voting.

Allen Dobson of
the Camels finishes with a 40/40 season.
While it’s true the NL north is filled with talent it’s
long been dominated Milwaukee, but that looks to change as Montreal, Iowa City
and Toronto are all gunning for them.
Bold predictions:

· The Rocket’s
Javier Lee tacks on >53 more long balls.
o Long term bold prediction: Lee will overtake the
all-time HR record for Satch.

· Montreal, Iowa
City and Toronto chisel Milwaukee’s previous season 14 game lead down to single
digits and the outcome is decided in the final series.
In the past the NL East boasts some of Satch’s most
dominant teams, but for the past several years it’s been all Generals.

DC won’t be run
by a Clinton.

Pittsburgh
improves by >10 games and claims a wild card spot.
The NL South is a lot closer than it looks. Could the most dominant team in the NL over
the past 10 seasons be showing signs of slowing down? While it’s been a great ride for the
Mockingbirds, but they currently have the 4th oldest roster.

championship comes down to the wire and will be decided in the last 5 games between
Little Rock, Memphis and Atlanta.
The not so bold prediction from the NL West – Pepe
will add even more W’s to his almost untouchable Satchel Paige record. The bold predictions:
